Large reclaimed oak beams originating from France are the starting point for our old oak kitchens and kitchen furniture. These are sawn into wide boards that undergo a lengthy process of sorting, stacking and drying before being used.
All the character that you would expect from oak that is several hundred years old is carried forward into the finished article. Knots and cracks are left open to emphasise the beauty and age of the timber and combined with a solid hardwood carcase, this results in a unique product that looks equally stunning in both fitted and freestanding kitchens.
Both old oak and character oak take stains extremely well to give a range of colours - ideal if you want to match your kitchen to an existing piece of furniture.
