Large reclaimed oak beams originating from France are
the starting point for our old oak kitchen furniture.
These are sawn into wide boards that undergo a lengthy
process of sorting, stacking and drying before being used.
All the character that you would expect from oak that
is several hundred years old is carried forward into the
finished article. Knots and cracks are left open to emphasise
the beauty and age of the wood. This combined with the
natural stability of this ancient timber and a solid hardwood
carcasse results in a unique product that looks equally
stunning in both fitted or freestanding kitchens.
Like the character oak, old oak takes stain extremely
well to give a range of colours – ideal if you require
a true antique reproduction colour for your kitchen. |
