We offer two different painted kitchens – a traditional painted reclaimed pine kitchen and a classic painted maple kitchen. As with all our furniture, they are available in any size and style and can be hand-painted in any colour of your choice.
The painted pine kitchen is built to the same specification as our antique pine kitchen, but the reclaimed pine used for the cabinet fronts is machined to a smoother finish, making it more suitable for painting. Even so, it is by no means a perfectly smooth, flat surface and the character of the timber shows through the paint, giving the appearance of an aged piece of hand-painted furniture. The painted pine also takes a distressed finish particularly well which can further add to the aged affect.
The painted maple kitchens have a more conventional smooth hand-painted finish. They feature a solid tulipwood carcase with the cabinet fronts and doors made from maple. Maple is an exceptionally hard and stable timber which makes it ideal for painting. The painted maple kitchen, with it's solid construction and hand-painted finish lends itself particularly well to a simple shaker design and using complimentary colour shades on different areas of the kitchen, or combining painted units and wooden units can give a classic painted kitchen an individual twist.
