Fitted bedroom furniture in an attic room

The bedroom in this Derbyshire estate cottage was undeniably charming, but also undeniably awkward! It was built-into the attic space so we had sloping ceilings and a dormer window to contend with. The room was a generous size, however, which allowed for a matching set of fitted wardrobes to each side of the bed, and a run of cabinetry under the window comprising two chests of drawers and a window seat with a lift up lid to access storage space. The cabinetry had a wide angled bead to the door panels (which prevents dust traps) and was painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Purbeck Stone’.
