Modern Classic Painted Shaker Style Kitchen

This large kitchen in a Derbyshire country home features bespoke solid tulipwood cabinetry, which is hand-painted in Little Greene ‘Slaked Lime’, with Silestone ‘Yukon’ worktops.

The clients are keen cooks and wanted a practical kitchen that would be a pleasure to work in, whilst also providing space for their young family to congregate and socialise. There is a dining table beyond the kitchen island, with a snug at the far end of the room where French doors lead into the garden, making this a true ‘heart of the home’.

The capacious pantry cupboard acts as a central store for all packet foods and condiments, with a full height integrated fridge and freezer alongside. A large blue Lacanche range cooker is set within a bespoke chimney feature with little cupboards in the uprights so that cooking essentials are always close to hand. A second built-under fridge is located in the island unit, along with a ‘prep’ sink; again to ensure everything essential is nearby whilst cooking. The kitchen also features additional pieces of furniture to include a dining table, sideboard and dresser.
