Pippy Oak Kitchen

This beautiful kitchen has light flooding into it from the garden and this serves to highlight and enrich the wonderful, honey coloured pippy oak with its amazing grain pattern. Some call it ‘Catspaw Oak’ because of its close cluster pattern of knots which often resemble a cats paw print.

The brief was to create a kitchen with enough worktop and storage space for a growing family, where the children could help bake or sit at the island and do their homework. The island is the real hub of the kitchen and incorporates a double bowl belfast sink, two integrated dishwashers and a recycling bin, as well as storage space and seating for five.
