Traditional Kitchen in Shades of Blue & White

Sometimes an honest, simplistic approach is the one that is not only best suited to the property, but also the one that has the most visual appeal - and this was certainly the case with this Edwardian home in a Derbyshire village.

The kitchen looks inviting and has that feel of belonging to the property, yet it still encompasses all modern appliances, carefully concealed within the cabinetry. The tall cabinetry conceals a fridge, freezer and a central larder with yet more cupboard storage above, accessed with the a vintage step ladder.

Somehow an island would have looked out of place; instead a wonderful scrubbed pine table adds a visual contrast to the cabinetry’s painted finish and provides that ‘cosy home’ feel.
