Clara Ash Platerack

Our ‘Clara’ platerack is inspired by Victorian and Edwardian cottage plate racks, which were designed to store plates and other crockery whilst allowing them to dry. The plate slots will accommodate plates up to 30cm in diameter, while the sloping shelf at the top is ideal for mugs, saucers or bowls, and there is a small gap at the back to allow any water to drain away. Whilst primarily designed to stand on a worktop, Clara can also be wall mounted with appropriate fixings…

Plate sizes - the white plates shown in most of the photos measure 20.5cm and 28cm in diameter. The blue plates in one photo range in size from 15.5cm to 26.5cm in diameter.

Materials and finish: This Clara platerack is made from beautifully figured Ash and is handmade and finished in our Derbyshire workshop. It has an Osmo raw hard wax-oil finish for a natural look whilst providing protection to the wood.
