'Polly' Ash Country House Style Platerack

Our 'Polly' platerack is inspired by the highly sought after antique plateracks often found in a country house scullery or kitchen. The utilitarian design suits a variety of kitchens, from shaker style to country cottage. The platerack is designed to be either wall hanging or to stand on a worktop. We have carefully positioned the back rails so that the plates do not hit the wall behind if it is standing against a wall or is wall mounted. The slatted top allows larger items such as jugs, teapots, bowls or pans to be stored on top, and allows any residual moisture to drain away…

Plate sizes - The lower shelf will accommodate plates up to 31cm in diameter. The upper shelf will accommodate plates up to 20cm in diamater.

Materials and finish: This Polly platerack is made from beautifully figured Ash and is handmade and finished in our Derbyshire workshop. It has a hardwearing water based lacquer finish to enhance the wood grain whilst providing protection to the wood.
