A Pippy Oak Kitchen in a Derbyshire Cottage

We installed this kitchen in around 2012, if memory serves correctly, which just goes to show that a kitchen sympathetic to the building doesn’t date and will always look in keeping. The owners of this limestone cottage in a Peak District village wanted an informal kitchen with space for a table, yet with plenty of cupboard space. Our pippy oak cabinets, made from solid timber inside and out, combined with granite worktops are both practical and beautiful, and a few pieces of freestanding cabinetry add to the relaxed feel. Slatted shelves to each side of the Esse range cooker add storage for pots and pans without overcrowding the cooking area.
